Business information, booking policies, and payment methods
One thing to ensure when setting up your account is that your business information, booking policies, and payment methods, are set up correctly.
Add your contact information
Your contact information includes your phone number and address or location. This information appears on your website, while your address information will be included in booking confirmation emails sent to your customers.
- On desktop, click on "Business" on the left-hand menu, OR on mobile, click on "Business" on the bottom menu bar
- Click on "Contact Information"
- Enter your business phone number and address information
- Click on “Save”
- Once done, click on the “Eye” icon on the top right-hand corner of your screen and scroll down to the footer to review your contact information
Add your booking policies
Your booking policies are rules around:
- How early in advance your customers can book your services
- How much notice your customers must provide if they need to cancel an appointment (shown to customers when they book online)
- The latest time your customers can make an online appointment
- The booking slots or intervals for appointments
- On desktop, click on "Settings" on the left-hand menu, OR on mobile, click on "Settings" on the bottom menu bar
- Click on "Booking Policies"
- Enter your preferred booking policies
- Click on “Save”
Enable your payment methods
One of our goals is to make it easier for you to get paid and keep track of your payments in one place. Our payment integrations allow you to offer more payment options to your customers. By default, the “In-Person Payment” method is enabled. However, Amidship also allows you to accept credit card payments online through Paypal for Business and Stripe.
- On desktop, click on "Settings" on the left-hand menu, OR on mobile, click on "Settings" on the bottom menu bar
- Click on "Payment Methods"
- To activate a new form of payment, click on “Activate” next to the payment method you would like to set up
- Follow the prompts to connect the selected payment method
- To deactivate a form of payment, click on “Deactivate” next to the payment method you would like to remove and confirm
