How can my clients search for my website online?

Amidship strives to ensure that your website is searchable online to increase potential traffic to your business. To save you time and make your life easier, all Amidship websites are search friendly by default. This means that by design, we make it easy for search engines to your website online.

Please note that search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add new sites or update existing sites. We therefore recommend getting a head start by adding your new website to your existing online profiles and advertisements as described below

When signed into your account, go to your website e.g cleaningwebsitedemo.amidship.com
Click on the "Share" button near the top right hand corner of your website
Click on the icon of the social media site you'd like to use to share
If applicable, sign into your social media profile
You should see some default text, including a link to your website. If preferred, edit the default text provided, then share your post.

How do I add my website to my Facebook page?

There are two ways to add your website to your Facebook page:

Call to action button

Facebook provides a "Call-to-action" feature that allows you to add a button to your Facebook page to drive users to take certain actions e.g. make a booking with you. This is a great option if you'd like clients who find you on Facebook to immediately book your services online through your new website.

About section

You can also add the link to your website in the "About" section of your page. To do so:

Click on "About" on the left hand menu of your Facebook page
Scroll down to the "Website" section and click on "Edit"
Copy your website address and paste it into this section
Click on "Save changes"
Your website should now appear on the "About" section of your page

How do I add my website to my Twitter page?

Twitter allows you to add one link to your profile. To add your website link:

Go to your profile
Click on "Edit profile" at the top right-hand side of the screen
Scroll down to the "Website" section and add your website link into this section
Click on "Save changes"
Your website should now appear on the bio section of your Twitter page

How do I add my website to my Instagram page?

There are two ways to add links to your Instagram page:

Link in bio

Instagram allows you to add one link to your bio. To add your website link:

Go to your profile
Click on "Edit profile" at the top of the screen
Scroll down to the "Website" section and add your website link into this section
Click on "Submit"
Your website should now appear on the bio section of your Instagram page

Link in Stories

You can now also share links using the new Instagram Stories feature. This feature is slowly being rolled out to Instagram users, so it may not yet be available in your account. If you already use the stories feature to promote your services, adding a link to your website with a prompt to "Book now" would be a great addition.

How do I add my website to my online advertisements?

Many business owners advertise their services online through websites like Kijiji, Craigslist, and other relevant online communities. Adding your website to your ad postings can help increase your business credibility and help you stand apart from competing service providers.

When adding your website link to your ad postings, be sure to add a call-to-action such as "Find out more on my website" or "Check out my website to book my services directly". For example: "For more information on our services and pricing, check out our website at www.amidship.com."
