Blocking time in your calendar
As a service business, it's important for you and your team to have the flexibility to adjust your schedules on-the-go. You may need to clear your calendar for personal appointments, vacations, or even just for one-time occasions, and in such cases, it's important that those particular time slots are unavailable for online booking by clients. The Time Blocking feature allows just for this, directly from your calendar in the Admin.
What happens when I block time in my calendar?
Just as with any other booking, when you block time in your calendar, any blocked time slot will become unavailable for online booking. This feature is perfect for any occasional or one-time instances when you'd like to prevent online bookings during particular time-slots.
Block time in your calendar
- On desktop, click on "Bookings" on the left-hand menu, OR on mobile, click on "Bookings" on the bottom menu bar
- Click on any available (green) time slot on your calendar. You can also click and drag down to select a longer period of time
- Click on "Block Time"
- Select the date, start time, and end time, and then select service provider whose time you'd like to blockClick on "Create busy time block". You should now see the selected time period as blocked on your calendar and as unavailable in the online booking page
- The blocked time slot will appear in your calendar
Delete blocked time in your calendar
- On desktop, click on "Bookings" on the left-hand menu, OR on mobile, click on "Bookings" on the bottom menu bar
- Click on a blocked time slot on your calendar
- Click on "Delete blocked time" and confirm
- The time slot will now become available for bookings
