When are text and email notifications sent?

To help save you time, Amidship offers both you and your clients automated email and text message notifications. The notifications provide the client or team member the details of their bookings, as well as the option to log into their accounts to manage their bookings. 

These notifications are sent when:

  • A new booking or sale is created
  • An existing booking is cancelled

Please note that we only send these notifications if we have valid contact information saved in Amidship. For example, if you've only added a client's email address to their profile, we can only send them email notifications.


How do I unsubscribe or turn off notifications?

Managing your own notifications

  1. Click on "Settings" on the left-hand menu on desktop, or on the bottom menu on mobile
  2. Click on "User profile" and scroll down to the "Notifications" section
  3. To turn off notifications, simply uncheck the box next to the type of notification you'd like to stop receiving
  4. Click on "Save"

Managing a team member's notifications

  1. Click on "Business" on the left-hand menu on desktop, or on the bottom menu on mobile
  2. Click on "Team"
  3. Click on an existing team member's name and scroll down to the "Notifications" section
  4. To turn off notifications, simply uncheck the box next to the type of notification you'd like to stop receiving
  5. Click on "Save"

Managing a client's notifications

  1. Click on "Clients" on the left-hand menu on desktop, or on the bottom menu on mobile
  2. Click on an existing client's name
  3. Click on the "pencil" icon on the top right hand corner of the client information card
  4. Scroll down to the "Notifications" section
  5. To turn off notifications, simply uncheck the box next to the type of notification you'd like to stop receiving
  6. Click on "Save"

What do the notifications look like? Can I edit them?

Amidship sends friendly, professional automated messages on your behalf. At the moment, you cannot edit or add information to the text or email notifications. Here are some screenshots to give you an overview of the messages your clients and team members.

What happens if my client replies to a notification?

Please note that if a client replies to an automated email notification, their message will be sent directly to the business owner or team member with whom they have a booking. This way, if they have any questions or concerns, they can immediately address those with the business.
